Wexford Footballer Caitriona Murray’s Q&A

LGFA player Caitriona Murray

We caught up with Wexford footballer Caitriona Murray for a quick Q&A last week. Caitriona has made waves in the game this year and we wanted to find more about Wexford’s dynamite player as she joins the Gardai and continues to playing for Wexford. Plus, everyone wants to know what athletes eat on cheat days! Have a read….

The best thing about playing football for Wexford?

Being part of a team all striving to achieve the same goal. Being able to pull a Wexford jersey over my head on a regular basis is always a proud moment.

What has been the most memorable game for you so far?

Winning the League final 2018 against Meath.

What athlete to you admire most and why?

Cora Staunton – she’s an inspirational talent to young girls and promotes the game in a positive manner. Her skill set is second to none.

How do you manage training and Gardai college at the same time?

Theres two of us travelling together to training from college, myself and Kellie so having the company makes it easier. Training is always enjoyable and seeing the girls breaks up the week.

What’s your favourite snack?

Hummus and crackers.

What’s your favourite cheat dinner?

Taco fries.

If you had to pick one Bodibro piece to a desert island, what would it be?

I’d bring my navy skinnies, navy and pink half zip and my blue and navy training t-shirt.
